Flyers and Other Tales
by Kate Marks
Production History: Produced by Heels Hit First Productions in the Midtown International Theatre Festival
Synopsis: Flyers and Other Tales is a collection of one-act plays: Flyers, Converting Numbers and Buried. Told with a vaudeville wit, these darkly comic one-acts lay bare the everyday mania of the folks that live in your peripheral vision. Flyers: A defeated worker, passing out leaflets on the street meets someone who knows how to make flyers fly. Converting Numbers: Religious and bodily functions explode in the line for the bathroom. Buried: Three street performers wrestle with the choice to abandon their dreams or go down with the sinking ship.
Gently lyrical -Andy Propst, Backstage
